Social Policy
Public Joint-Stock Company “Vyksa Steel Works” is a socially-oriented company. The enterprise voluntarily assumes obligations related to a socially responsible attitude towards Vyksa residents. The Company's social programs address such issues as health protection and occupational safety for its employees, environmental and resource-saving activity, personnel and local community development, etc.
The Company is active in developing the infrastructure of Vyksa and adjacent areas, cultural and sports facilities. VSW helps public institutes and holds cultural and sports events in the city. Its social investments include road construction and civil engineering; supporting cultural centers, sanatoriums, and children's health camps; and creating a whole system of events aimed at improving living standards.
In 2004, within the scope of 250-th anniversary of the mill, OMK, VSW, Vyksa authorities and the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhni Nivgorod region signed the agreement for implementation of events timed to this date. The total sum of OMK and VSW direct investments into the beautification of the city, reconstruction and building of socially important objects within the scope of the United Project “Events timed to 250-th anniversary of VSW” amounted to 1.5 billion roubles.
In its social programs, Vyksa Steel Works pays serious attention to supporting veterans, disabled persons, large families, and other low-income categories of people.
While financing social programs, VSW lays, in the long-term outlook, a sound basis for further development of Vyksa and the Nizhni Novgorod Region. |
